This stunning oval drop leaf dining table was made of beautiful solid walnut circa 1820 in France. The walnut has wonderful and thoughtfully done honest repairs throughout the top which give the table a unique and one of a kind presence. The apron contains a single drawer, equipped with a heart shaped pull made of cut steel. The linear legs are sturdy, secured with peg joinery, and taper from top to bottom. With the leaves down, the table could be used as a sofa or console table. With the leaves up, the table is ideal for dining and would be the perfect place for friends and family to gather. This table has been tightened, cleaned and polished with a French paste wax.
