Rare, vintage Mirior Brot lighted makeup mirror in shiny chrome with ivory detail. Oscillating mirror and adjustable height. In excellent working condition. Hand made in France. Circa late 20th century.
In the US, Miroir Brot used to be known as "The French Reflection". That name has disappeared and Miroir Brot now appears under its own name. Either way, the history of Miroir Brot dates back to the early nineteenth century, when Francoois Brot, a mirror-maker in the court of King Charles X of France, founded the company in 1826. Today Miroir Brot falls under the umbrella of Maitres Robinetiers de France. Also Included in the Maitres Robinetetiers stable are Cristal&Bronze, Magot, and Serdaneli. Each Miroir Brot makeup mirror is custom made by hand in Chateau Landon, near Paris. less
