They could be called … Read more This is a spectacular and very rare form of chinoiserie paint decorated foyer or side cabinets. They could be called commodes but are EXTREMELY SHALLOW DEPTH and can be used in a multitude of settings and ways. They are done in time-worn crackled red lacquer with gorgeous undamaged and un-repaired slabs of green marble tops. This contrast of colors is exuberant and exciting! We just don't see these kinds of color combinations too often. The pieces are each in great antique condition and have their original key. Minor signs of age and use and crackled lacquer from time. They don't get better than this.
