A rare to market gold plated metal candlesticks by French designer Stéphane Galerneau. We believe these to be from the late 1990's; and might have been done for Fondica France. Similar To what Pierre Casenove and Georges Mathias did for them. What sets the Galerneau's apart is they are gold plated, according to an interview he did with Le Monde des Artisans. You can also see it when you view them in person, in case it does not come through in the pictures.
The rare heavy candlestick stands 18" high and is of a bird on a tree branch design. As far as we know it's the only one on the market at the moment. The closest we found was of a short version that included a bird.
