This stunning modernist Sputnik was realized by our custom atelier in Murano, Italy- the islands off the coast of Venice … more This stunning modernist Sputnik was realized by our custom atelier in Murano, Italy- the islands off the coast of Venice renowned for centuries for their superlative glass production. It features an exploding sunburst form consisting of an abundance of handblown obelisk crystal rods that attached to an orbital brushed brass body. The fixture is supported by a cylindrical rod and circular brass canopy also executed in brushed brass. With its graphic form and dramatic presence, this fixture would be a stunning addition to any style of interior from classic Mid-Century Modern to contemporary. It accommodates nine Edison based bulbs providing up to 900 watts of light. It has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent condition. The height can be adjusted to suit.
