A contemporary modern metal floor sculpture by Detroit artist Gary Kulak chair. Created in 1981 A whimsical composition of a tall straight back chair. Per the artist, "At the center of my sculptural investigations one object spans the entire time frame. The “”chair”” has evolved and transformed meaning relative to time, emotion, and social situations. The chair has given me a frame of reference, an identity, or basis for communication to occur. I have worked with a wide range of construction materials with an emphasis on metal and industrial processes." A unique statement. From a private collection. Measures 72 inches tall, 8.5 inches wide, and 8.25 inches deep. In very good vintage condition.
Gark Kulak (1952- ) began as a local Detroit Artist in 1975, focusing on installations with sound and real objects. Gary Kulak’s work can be seen throughout the nation.
