A Kodawood dinette set. This marvelous mid century modern dining set features a lovely dinette table and a set of 4 full sized dining chairs. Kodawood was a Miami-based furniture design and manufacturing company. Some of their designs have become icons of the mid century modern era such as their Oyster Chair. Lead by co-founder James Wiener, their designs were greatly influenced by peers of their time such as Eames, Knoll, Saarinen, and the countless Danish designers of the era. They prominently created pieces based with bentwood, like the Oyster Chair, and more importantly the dining chairs in this dinette set.
The dining chairs feature a super beautiful design, with a solid walnut wood frame, and a bentwood seat and back leading through the center of the piece. The seat is upholstered in a very playful, geometric fabric with yellows, whites, and grays. Each of the four chairs have a Kodawood sticker on the underside of the seat as pictured above.
The dinette/dining table features a very cool design, reminiscent of Adrian Pearsall. The solid walnut wood frame is a series of curving legs, supporting a gorgeous round marble slab, and a round glass table top.
The set as a whole is in very good vintage condition, but has some wear and flaws common with most vintage furniture. The most notable item to list is the scuffs and scratches to the feet of the table.
The table measures 28.5 inches tall, and has a diameter of 41.75 inches.
The chairs measure 38.5 inches tall, 20.5 inches wide, and 24 inches deep. They have a seat height of 19 inches, a seat depth of 17 inches, and a back height of 21 inches. less
