Mid Century Danish Modern lift top cabinet, perfect as a blanket chest, hamper and a variety of storage uses. The cabinet features a rosewood veneer case, with hinged lift top, open storage space, on a plinth base. Ww believe this piece was a section of a larger piece, probably a headboard, as it is unfinished on two sides. This example is structurally sound and sturdy, and is fully functional, it does show light cosmetic wear, minor scratching to the surface etc, normal and consistent with age, please see images.
The case still retains the original Kiabek Mobelfabrik A/S - Made in Denmark makers label.
Classic 1970's Danish design, during the tale end of the Golden Age of Scandinavian Modern design. less
