Detail of painting, mixed media, oil and acrylic on cardboard, signed "L. Moreno" at the bottom, created by Luis Guevara Moreno, an important Venezuelan artist born in 1926 and died in 2010. Equipped with a black lacquered wooden frame and protective glass . The painting presents some canons of abstractionism, together with elements of surrealism and depicts two ancient oil lamps suspended in the air and on the back an abstract composition rich in shades and drips of color.

Just to give an idea of the value of this artist's works, in the last photos, we have put the four highest auction results we found, with maximum peaks of over €63,700, excluding auction fees of 25-30 %. Then we posted four other intermediate auction results, among which there is one very similar to ours in terms of style and technique, depicting a suspended bull, with an abstract composition with surrealist elements on the back, estimated at €3,000 - €6,000 and sold at €2650, €3,500 adding auction fees.

Luis Guevara Moreno (Valencia, Venezuela, June 21, 1926 – Caracas, Venezuela, November 26, 2010) was a pioneering artist of Venezuelan geometric abstract art and also the most important Venezuelan artist in printmaking. He was part of the Los Dissidents group in the middle of the last century. During his professional career, he received the National Painting Award in 1959 and the National Drawing and Engraving Award in 1969.
