About Kilims
Balkan to Pakistani kilims are flat tapestry-woven carpets. Kilims can be prayer rugs or decor. Modern kilims are popular Western floor coverings.
Weaving Method
KILIMs are flat, pile-free weaves formed by closely interlacing warp and weft threads. Kilim weft-faced plain weaves hide vertical warp strands by drawing horizontal weft strands down.
Recoiled weft yarn from color boundaries. On fields with straight vertical borders, a vertical split develops between the two colors.

Afghanistan also loves Baluchi prayer mats. Southwest Afghanistan's Baloch create them.
Vegetable and natural dyes produce rich colors. Medium-sized carpets are usual less
