This lithograph "Au Vent de Noroît - Les Vieux" is signed Henri Rivière and bears a red stamp at the bottom left. The work is authentic and old.
For the condition, note in the margin, a tear at the bottom left (2 cm), another at the left (1.5 cm), one at the bottom (1 cm), some slight folds at the left, traces of ink, stains and dog-eared corners.
On the litho, small spots.
The lithograph has remained fresh in color, once framed most of the defects will be barely visible.

Henri Rivière (1864-1951) is a French painter, engraver and illustrator. He began his career with drawing then with intaglio engraving and specifically etching in 1882. At the same time, he began a career as a director and scenographer, in 1886, from the shadow theater to the Chat Noir cabaret, shows which he improves by creating very innovative colored sets. He then devoted himself exclusively to painting and engraving and established himself in the history of etching, prints, wood engraving, lithography and watercolor (he painted about a thousand watercolors).
