This lithograph “Au Vent de Noroît - Les Vieux” is signed Henri Rivière and bears a red stamp at the bottom left. The work is authentic and old.
For the condition, note in the margin, a difference in size between the top margin and the bottom margin, a tear at the bottom (0.7 cm), slightly dog-eared corners, dirt and a few stains, slight yellowing .
On the litho, small spots in places.
The lithograph is very fresh in color, once framed most of the defects will be barely visible.

Henri Rivière (1864-1951) is a French painter, engraver and illustrator. He began his career with drawing then with intaglio engraving and specifically etching in 1882. At the same time, he began a career as a director and scenographer, in 1886, from the shadow theater to the Chat Noir cabaret, shows which he improves by creating very innovative colored sets. He then devoted himself exclusively to painting and engraving and established himself in the history of etching, prints, wood engraving, lithography and watercolor (he painted about a thousand watercolors).
