A fine French Louis XV Rococo style Giltwood Console Table having the original Cararra marble top above a giltwood frame with rounded corners featuring an intricately carved frieze with a central shell and foliate motifs, stunning intricate carved designs with acanthus leaves and scrollwork. This beautiful console is raised on elegant cabriole legs adorned with richly carved acanthus leaves ending in scrolled French toes. The legs are joined by a striking curved stretcher with a shell and foliate design. All original gilt with red oxidation showing through the beautiful water gilded patina.
