Daum was awarded a Grand Prix during the 1900, Universal Exhibition for their exquisite glass pieces. The bowl offers an oblong form with tapered rounded ends, and curvilinear forms throughout. The piece features with its unmistakably modern form, this piece is a testament Daum's forward looking vision and superior glass making techniques that have made them one of the most indelible names of the 20th century in first-rate glass.
