The lid features a reeded ovular handle and a raised based with intricate Baroque designs. The tureen comes with a removable tray insert that includes a divider in the center, perfect for presenting two kinds of hors' deouvres or edible treats involving a dipping sauce such as crudités or shrimp cocktail. When this tray is removed, the bottom compartment provides more than ample space for serving side dishes such as mashed potatoes or green beans. Excellent vintage condition.
