This chromo came … Read more RARE HORIZONTAL matted Art Nouveau botanical chromolithograph published by Christian Stoll in Plauen, Germany dating to 1909. This chromo came from a unbound portfolio of Asian motifs for Rugs, laces and fabrics. Plauen was a center of textile manufacturing with a world renown design school. Beautifully decorative image of chrysanthemums. This image is in soft pastel tones. It showcases panels of chrysanthemum motifs with intricate, delicate detailing. Note the Art Nouveau floral elements. This is a genuine find as horizontal images are quite rare and as this imagery is quite exotic. Also note artist’s signature initials in base of right side panel. This chromo is in excellent vintage condition consistent with age and history. 14 inches wide, 9.25 inches high. Comes matted in a neutral tone custom 16 x 20 inch mat ready for a standard size frame. Please allow time for custom matting. Please also see companion chromolithographs in our shop.
