The entire piece is constructed … more Bay Colony Antiques is pleased to offer for sale this wonderful antique Cherry bedside table. The entire piece is constructed of a high grade of cherry harvested from an old growth native New England cherry tree which had developed undisturbed somewhere in the greater Connecticut River Valley region. This table is both elegant and simplistic with a traditional overhung top and sophisticated legs designed by a master wood turner working in the American Sheraton manner. The legs feature cylindrical tapering with ringlets added both above and below the main element. The frame of the table is secured with tight peg construction where every side of the apron tenons into one of the upper leg blocks. The cherry wood imbues a rich and warm patina that only time and proper care can create. The table rests on four well-formed ball feet which add to the overall design of this charming early American table. The table is in very good condition with our only notes being minor surface wear & the top is a later addition. The table measures 16" wide x 15 1/8" deep x 27 1/8" tall. less
