- A beautiful pair of antique 19th Century French Louis XVI marble topped tables with faux leather book facade. The pieces … more A beautiful pair of antique 19th Century French Louis XVI marble topped tables with faux leather book facade. The pieces have a small pull out drawer done in a green tooled leather. The sides of this piece of furniture are concave and with a rosewood veneer arranged in a butterfly wing. Clear wood nets underlines this marquetry surrounded by mahogany. The uprights on the facade have a beautiful inlaid of rosewood arranged horizontally. At the top of each foot, under the box, a relief baguette underlines this rosewood marquetry. The sheath feet end with hooves. In the lower part, a tablet alongside Concaves connects the four feet. It has a veneer deployed with joint in the middle. From the home of Michael J.
