Display cabinet/bookcase Period & style: Neo-Gothic (Art Nouveau) - early 20th century Features - oak veneer, partially solid wood, dark … Read more Display cabinet/bookcase Period & style: Neo-Gothic (Art Nouveau) - early 20th century Features - oak veneer, partially solid wood, dark stain - rich Gothic carvings and intricate Gothic decor with floral reliefs and battlement crown - flat carving "A.D. 1907" Anno Domini = probably year of manufacture - two-door upper section with faceted glass and compartment with pointed arch cutout - four adjustable shelves in the top section via tooth strips and the former holder for hunting weapons - wide and deep seat with profiled edge all around and carved armrests - Four wide, smooth-running drawers with doubled fronts in the lower body - High base with adjacent profile - Wrought iron fittings and key plates - A total of four keys available - Can be dismantled into three parts for transport and the doors can be removed The furniture is in good condition with age-related signs of wear and abrasion.
