Its main 'body' is carved from one piece and features an adult owl … more Unusual tea caddy in hand-carved stained/colored/lacquered oak. Its main 'body' is carved from one piece and features an adult owl carved in Relief. The lid is carved with its offspring. Both owl has matching brown glass eyes. Given as a commemorative gift on the same date first on the 1/6 in 1899 and then again 40 years later in 1939 on the 1/6 (inscription to its lid).
