This is a very rare and beautiful walnut vanity attributed to R.J. Horner of NY. The reason we believe this is because of the secondary woods used on the drawers which are not European. If it was French the secondaries would likely be oak but here we have pine for the drawers. The case is walnut and the carving is beautifully done and the finish is a good original finish. The piece is in good condition with minor signs of age and use and the mirror is clear. Dates to the 1870's
