It features a minimalist arrangement of objects with a dominant palette of red hues. This piece is one in a series of color-forward minimalist still life pieces that explore the idea of interconnectedness. The artist writes that the title of this piece comes from the fact that each of the pitchers painted here originated in different centuries and countries. Stripped of their identifying decorations, we see their inherent qualities and purpose are the same. In this there is a beautiful metaphor for the interconnectedness- of humans across borders and time.

The Belgian linen canvas is hand-stretched by the artist and measures 20x24 inches. It is framed in a pale maple floater frame for a clean, classic presentation.

About the artist: GC (Ginny) Williams has a degree in art history which gave her an understanding of, and appreciation for, not only the art of the past, but the historical events and ideologies that fostered various aesthetics, movements, and styles.
She studied at several classical ateliers, including three years at Boston's Academy of Realist Art. Her work has been shown in galleries throughout the US and is included in public and private collections. She maintains a studio on the north shore of Massachusetts. less
