Afghan Turkomen immigrants in Pakistan make many Afghan carpets.
Many ethnic groups, but notably Turkomen, make Afghan carpets in northern and western Afghanistan.
Afghan carpets sometimes resemble Turkmen rugs. Afghanistan makes several "Bokhara" "Biljik" "Khal Mohammdi" and other inexpensive, coarse rugs for export. However, many Afghans with Turkmen patterns are excellent. less
