This Hilma Af Klint Swedish Abstract offset lithograph print large exhibition poster " The Ten Largest, Childhood No.2 Group IV " 1907, is a very special and unique piece to add to your collection.
Printed in Sweden in conjunction with the 2013 exhibition at The Moderna Museet Modern Art Museum in Stockholm, Sweden of the artworks of the Abstract artist Hilma Af Klint. It features an artwork image originally created by Af Klint in 1907 titled " The Ten Largest, Childhood No.2 Group IV ".
Hilma Af Klint ( 1862 - 1944 ) the Swedish artist and mystic who's paintings were amongst the very first Abstract artworks. A considerable body of Abstract work predates the first purely Abstract compositions of Kandinsky. She belonged to a group called " The Five ", a circle of women who shared a belief in the importance of trying to make contact with the so-called " high Masters ", often by way of seances. Her paintings which sometimes resemble diagrams were usually representations of complex spiritual ideas.
The large format museum exhibition poster print measures 27 1/2" W X 39 1/2" H. It is printed on smooth finish paper stock with vibrant ink colors in a matte finish.
It is in excellent " like new " very clean condition with very light signs of handling. It has never been framed. Please see photos for condition reference. It is now being offered here for an excellent price. less
