A set of 6, Made In Romania, Circa 1960s. designed by Michael Thonet and known as the A-16 model.
Original Hand-caned seats with markings “Made In Romania”.
Selling 6, one needs wood glue from the seat screw to the back leg, photo shows the screw being out. Another looks as if someone used wood glue on a split and has 2nd split that needs repairing. Shown in photo. The chairs show scuffs as you would expect from vintage wear. An antique owner told me I could use a 4000 steel wool to lightly clean them and brush on a new stain and finish with a spray lacquer. I did not want to altar the original finish and want the buyer to choose finish if desired.
