Description: This beautiful 5-light chandelier bears all the typical features of an Osler fixture: the exquisite cascade of hand-cut prisms, the … more This beautiful 5-light chandelier bears all the typical features of an Osler fixture: the exquisite cascade of hand-cut prisms, the ring of crystal spear points around the middle, the double-tier crown, and the graceful arms. The chandelier was originally a gasolier. It was probably converted to electricity in the 1920's or 1930's as the use of gas lighting devises had died out by then. In their heyday, F & C Osler gasoliers were to be found in royal palaces, Gilded Age mansions, and anywhere else the rich and famous of the Victorian world needed stunning lighting.
