Hand Knotted in wool, this 3x7 vintage Zeki Múren runner rug originating from Turkey, circa 1960-1970, features geometric patterns reflecting mid-century modern sensibilities for a Vintage Turkish rug.

Connoisseurs will admire this vintage Zeki Múren’s design which explores this work as among the works believed to hail from this artist that connote a mid-century modern approach to traditional Turkish motifs. Keen eyes for detail will admire the geometric patterns, also especially motifs in green, beige/brown, red, blue and similar hues. One must admire the sheer attention to craft that achieves this sense of movement—a hallmark of Müren’s rare style. Keen eyes for detail will note that this is some of Müren’s most subversive colors among his works, yet also one of his more humble palettes, both forgiving and playful—a comfortable and personal work from a mid-century artist.
