The noblewoman of high … more Antique pastel with contemporary frame belonging to the Napoleon III period of the late nineteenth century. The noblewoman of high social standing is portrayed in half-length portrait, wearing a soft dress in blue and pink textured fabric, with lace running along the neckline. The woman is portrayed in the foreground while she plays the hurdy-gurdy and has a river landscape behind her. Note the careful rendering of the facial features, the attention to the nuances of the complexion, the sharpness of the contours underlined by the light. Conditions: Good condition.
