The vase is made of two parts and is distinguished by its refined shape, reminiscent of a baluster with a fluted round foot and high curled handles. The elegant relief decor includes acanthus leaves, ornamental friezes and a sculpted pearl strip, giving the product a majestic and noble appearance. The main background of the vase is painted in a rich royal cobalt color, which effectively contrasts with the polychrome overglaze painting. On both sides of the body of the vase are depicted detailed bouquets of roses and chrysanthemums, executed with a high degree of skill. The rich gold trim and fine edging emphasise the sophistication and luxury of this work of art. The top of the vase bears an underglaze blue mark and a first-class mark, confirming the highest quality of production at the Meissen manufactory. The mark dates back to the period 1860-1924, which attests to the significant collectible value of this piece. References: Bergmann, Meissener Figuren, supplementary volume, p. 56, fig. 2100. Materials: porcelain, underglaze blue painting, gilding. Period of creation: 1860-1924. Dimensions: height 59 cm. Production: Meissen manufactory. less
