Solid cherry and cherry veneer, convex frontal cornice, scalloped carved lateral sides … more Very rare early Biedermeier footstool, Austria circa 1830. Solid cherry and cherry veneer, convex frontal cornice, scalloped carved lateral sides with round ornamentation. Upholstered in grey silky brocade characteristic of Biedermeier era, graphite decorative trimming, french polished. Some imperfection, small veneer parts replaced, light wear consistent to age. The footstool is executed in the manner of renowned Biedermeier cabinet maker Johan Nepomuk Geyer. less
