This wonderful Pekingese figurine was created by Dorothy Thorpe, a mid-century, American artist, who was most popular for her glassware creations.
Dorothy Thorpe was strictly a designer, whose studio was located in Los Angeles, CA, and her designs were mostly manufactured in Mexico.
This beautiful, mid-century, Pekingese dog, is one of her rare dog designs, and it is done in a gorgeous, heavyweight, honey-colored resin, not glass.
The detailing on this vintage dog is so beautiful, especially its pinwheel-like tail.
Measuring a full 6 1/2" tall x 6" long x 4" wide, it is in excellent condition, and it still has most of its original foil label.
