Most likely created in the Northeastern United States, late 19th century, exceptionally executed in period Late Victorian Renaissance Revival taste, featuring quality solid wood construction and elaborate carving throughout, the rare original matching pair having a circular wooden tabletop showcasing the desirable grain patterns and warm hues oak is known for, framed by intricate relief carved molded edge, with the carved ornamentation continuing around the wide apron with gardoon trim, rising on turned bulbous-form standard adorned with ornate acanthus leaf carvings, resting on four sturdy architectural corbel inspired scroll bracket feet.

Not apparently signed / no obvious makers mark, which is typical of the time period, but the profuse carvings and detail work throughout would have been a difficult and truly time consuming endeavor, indicative of fine furniture and skilled craftsmen.

Very good antique condition. Desirable original unrestored examples with nicely aged warm patina.

Retaining original antique character and charm throughout, including one table with dark line - minor tonal variation to tabletop as shown in photos, wear consistent with well over 100 years of age, use, and handling. We prefer the patina, character, charm and history, but they could very easily be refinished or restored if desired perfect.
