Comments on This Artist: William Erle (Born 1878, Copenhagen - Dies 1967) was a European landscape painter. During his lifetime he became highly inspired by “other Fauvist painters like Van Gogh and worked hard to achive this unique painting technique. His role models were fellow artists like Corot and Turner.

1920: Took Croquis drawing classes in Rue de la Grande Chaumiere in Paris
