An early 19th century French Louis XVI style trumeau mirror with a large painting depicting Diana, the goddess of the hunt. Oil on canvas with vivid color, heavy craquelure, with some paint loss and inpainting. Parcel gilt pine frame in pale verdigris with applied gilded decoration and carved crown with lovebirds. Minor losses and touch-ups. Crest has been repaired. Original mirror with nice silvered patina and some spotting. Circa 1800-1820.
