Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown white, controlled bubbles and gold flecks Italian art glass vanity powder or jewelry box. Documented to designer Alfredo Barbini, circa 1950s. The lidded jar has a ribbed body with twisting spike on the top. The main bowl has a ribbed surface, and the piece is created with the "Bullicante" technique. The decoration is highlighted by the heavy gold leaf that gathers around each bubble, making them really stand out. Would make a great display piece on any desk, vanity or coffee table. Use it as a catchall, or candy dish. Mid-century era. Measures: 7 1/4" tall x 5" across.
