Penkridge Ceramics tromp l'oeil porcelain green pear sculpture with tole metal branch and leaves. Hand made in England. Very naturalistic. Measures 7" long including the stem. Porcelain fruit without the stem measures 4" x 3 1/2". Maker's touch mark at the base. Good condition
Penkridge's exquisitely detailed porcelain creations are cast from an existing fruit or vegetable and then hand-painted to look like the real thing. This trompe l'oeil effect is inspired by early still life paintings of fruit.
