There are a few vertical cracks, one one each side and one on each door, not untypical of pieces of this age, and a worn area in the inside toe-guard of the left bottom shelf. The metal detailing around the keyhole plate of the left door is slightly loose from the wood aobve and below the keyhole, but not noticeable unless it is known. This plate is very securely attached at the top and bottom, so not a functional problem either; the key works well. The drawers open and close well, though with a little effort. less

The buffet's rich walnut wood showcases beautiful character, its substantial presence adds a commanding elegance to any room, and the intricate hardware details reflect expert craftsmanship. The delicate flower carvings are typical of it’s era. Remarkably preserved for its age, this piece combines timeless charm with practicality, offering ample storage capacity that has served wonderfully as a dining room cabinet in my home. less
