Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown opalescent white and pink Italian art glass vanity powder box / jar. Documented to designer Archimede Seguso. It has been created as part of the "Alabastro" series. The technique is published in the Seguso book, and this particular piece was photographed in that book (read below). The jar has a twisting ribbed body with original lidded top with swirled spike top decoration. It stands on an opalescent white foot. The piece has 2 original labels underneath. It has a red "Murano - Made In Italy" label, as well as an oval "DeVilbiss" item number label. It reads "3pc 3500-4". Great color combination and design. Would make a great display piece on any desk, vanity or coffee table. Mid-century era. Measures: 5 3/4" tall x 4 1/4" wide.
