This lithograph “Le Beau Pays de Bretagne - L’Ile de Bréhat” is signed Henri Rivière and bears a red stamp at the bottom right. The work is authentic and old.
For the condition, note in the margin, a pinhole on the left, traces of ink at the top, a vertical trace of a fold on the left and a fold at the bottom, small tears (1.2 cm and 0. 2 cm), small stains and dirt.
On the litho, tiny little spots in the sky.
The lithograph is very fresh in color, once framed most of the defects will be barely visible.

Henri Rivière (1864-1951) is a French painter, engraver and illustrator. He began his career with drawing then with intaglio engraving and specifically etching in 1882. At the same time he began a career as a director and scenographer, in 1886, from the shadow theater to the Chat Noir cabaret, shows which he improves by creating very innovative colored sets. He then devoted himself exclusively to painting and engraving and established himself in the history of etching, prints, wood engraving, lithography and watercolor (he painted about a thousand watercolors).
