This lithograph “La Falaise - Les Aspects de la Nature” is signed Henri Rivière and bears his red stamp at the bottom right and the printer's stamp at the bottom left. It is authentic and old.
For the condition, note in the margin a tear of 5.5 cm at the bottom right, a loss of 2.5 cm at the top, ink lines on the left and right, four small printer's mark lines , small spots and yellowing.
The tear in the margin on the right extends to the litho for 2 cm, with minimal stains to note.
The lithograph is very fresh in color, once framed most of the defects will be invisible.

Henri Rivière (1864-1951) is a French painter, engraver and illustrator. He began his career with drawing then with intaglio engraving and specifically etching in 1882. At the same time he began a career as a director and scenographer, in 1886, from the shadow theater to the Chat Noir cabaret, shows which he improves by creating very innovative colored sets. He then devoted himself exclusively to painting and engraving and established himself in the history of etching, prints, wood engraving, lithography and watercolor (he painted about a thousand watercolors).
