Ceramic jug or large pourer with spout, hand-crafted on a lathe, enamelled and vitrified. Decorated entirely by hand with a central medieval heraldic coat of arms on a white background. In neo-Renaissance style, made and signed under the base by one of the Blue Delft factories, catalog number and the writing "Delft SCR". The vase can be dated towards the end of the 19th century.

The term Delft ceramics or Delft majolica refers to a famous artisan product from the Netherlands, in particular from the city of Delft. The term Delft ceramics has come to mean all Dutch ceramic production. This ceramic has been exported all over the world, and its origins date back to the end of the 16th century.
Final thoughts on the object:
Decorations entirely handmade. Handle entirely modeled by hand consisting of a double twisted ceramic cord. The shape of the jug recalls the style of the jugs of the 1600s, this is why the decoration with heraldic coat of arms and Latin writing that reads "Petala Rose" therefore the jug was intended to contain water with rose petals.
