This lithograph "Le Bois de Hêtres - Le Beau Pays de Bretagne" is signed Henri Rivière and bears a red stamp at the bottom left. It is authentic and old.
Note that the lithograph is perfect in color. We note folds in the left margin and a lack of margin on the edge, a tear of 1.5 cm at the bottom edge, a slight fold of 17 cm at the top diagonally, a pinhole in the margin of right, small spots in the margin. On the back, small stains.
Most of these defects will be gone once the lithograph is framed.

Henri Rivière (1864-1951) is a French painter, engraver and illustrator. He began his career with drawing then with intaglio engraving and specifically etching in 1882. At the same time he began a career as a director and scenographer, in 1886, from the shadow theater to the Chat Noir cabaret, shows which he improves by creating very innovative colored sets. He then devoted himself exclusively to painting and engraving and established himself in the history of etching, prints, wood engraving, lithography and watercolor (he painted about a thousand watercolors).
