Chest of drawers hand-made in Italy in the early 1800s using cherry and pegged construction. The dresser is very straight in lines and shows beautiful wood grain and color. The chest of drawers features three inset drawers, the top one a bit narrower and deeper than the bottom two. The conformation of the drawers and the presence of flat columns give the dresser an empire look, however, the long tapered legs remind us of a neoclassical commode. Therefore, this is the perfect piece for those who like to find a dresser that is in between styles and most definitely very unique.
The drawers work well and it can be used on a daily basis. The hardware has been replaced with period appropriate brass. Its light color and straight lines make it perfect for a home that is furnished with antiques as well as modern and contemporary piece. less
