Frank Rowland American Artist: b. 1927-2012. Born in Altoon, Pennsylvania, master printmaker and artist, Frank Rowland, began his art education at age 12, when he attended W.P.A. art classes with his father. He further his studies at the School of Design Arts and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, as well as the American Academy of Fine Art and The Academic Art Foundation of Chicago. A recognized master serigraphy, Rowland headed his own studio in Chicago for many years. less
