I happened upon this piece during a retirement community event, where an … more Outstanding handmade amateur hobbyist artisan burlwood art sculpture!
I happened upon this piece during a retirement community event, where an older gentlemen was smoothing this wood sculpture out with an antler piece. Turns out he would walk the beaches of Puget Sound looking for driftwood pieces like this, then he would work them with just elk antlers only. Pretty long natural process of smoothing these out/polishing them up. Inside he had many many others throughout his home, but he did not want to sell any more. I just happened to come up at the right time when he was more than done with this one here.
I am in no hurry to sell this sculpture as it is really terrific to have around, but I will also be happy to see it move onto it's permanent home to be enjoyed forever. Or possibly use it as a base to your own artwork or lamp.
When on display this piece takes a spatial footprint of roughly 9.75" tall X 10.5" wide X 8" deep.
