This lithograph entitled "La Féérie des Heures - La Tempête" is signed by Henri Rivière and published by Eugène Verneau in Paris. It bears a red stamp. It is authentic and old.
The lithograph is sold as presented. We note yellowed edges, an ink line on the right (from top to bottom), stains in the sky and the margin, note that one corner is creased (bottom left). However, the work remains presentable.
We are picky, we strive to point out the slightest defect, but this lithograph has the advantage of having its original colors of great freshness, once framed the lithograph will be very decorative.
We have taken as many photos of the defects as possible so that you can judge the condition.
Henri Rivière (1864-1951) is a French painter, engraver and illustrator. He began his career with drawing then with intaglio engraving and specifically etching in 1882. At the same time he began a career as a director and scenographer, in 1886, from the shadow theater to the Chat Noir cabaret, shows which he improves by creating very innovative colored sets. He then devoted himself exclusively to painting and engraving and established himself in the history of etching, prints, wood engraving, lithography and watercolor (he painted about a thousand watercolors).
Our numerous photos allow you to appreciate the quality of the object.
