The Swiss artist Ernst Burgdorfer (1925) did not leave much of a mark as a furniture designer. The sculptor, painter and graphic artist became known primarily for his mostly biomorphic sculptures. The few furniture designs by Burgdorfer are therefore rather rare and were usually produced in small numbers. This also applies to the six dining chairs that were manufactured by the Dietiker company in Stein am Rhein in the 1970s. The chairs are in good original condition. The upholstery is impeccable. The covers made of cognac-colored, soft leather look visually flawless. A few light abrasions on the back of the backrest and minor discoloration on the armrests. There are only major injuries on the surface of one chair. We have tried to show the condition of each chair in the photos. The solid wooden parts have signs of wear - but nothing serious. All chairs are stable and do not wobble. Above all, they are extremely well cut and ensure an extremely comfortable seating experience. Seat height 45cm.
