A remarkable turquoise and gold brooch from the 19th century. This exquisite piece is crafted in 15k yellow gold, featuring a captivating arrangement of blue turquoise cameos.
At the center is a prominent oval cameo depicting Demosthenes, Greek statesman and orator in ancient Athens, surrounded by an intricate gold framework. Flanking the central cameo are two smaller rectangular cameos. Suspended below are four additional oval cameos, each intricately carved with classical profiles, interspersed with elegant gold teardrop accents.
