This rare etching by Levon West, titled "Un Coche," is a limited edition piece signed by the artist in pencil. Etching was produced in 1927 and is one of only 37 impressions created before the plate was destroyed. The etching measures 5 15/16 x 4 13/16. The artwork is framed and matted and measures 14.5" x 11" framed.
This etching is sold with the book, A Catalogue of the Etchings of Levon West, compiled by Otto Torrington published in 1930. Book is rare and in excellent condition.

About Levon West
(1900-1968) Levon West was a pioneer in color photography shooting under the name Ivan Dmitri. He gained recognition as a print maker in 1927 when his etching “The Spirit of St. Louis” was published upon Lindbergh’s arrival in Paris. In 1932 he was named guest artist of the State of Colorado where he did a familiar series of etchings on Western life. less
