Painting is clean, bright colors, no water damage, no foxing etc. This has had a very good life with minimal handling or signs of age. Finish on the frame shows just light surface imperfections but please note there is a 1" scratch lower left that has been touched up-shown in close up. Large drip painting from Vanguard Studios, has gallery label and stamp on the back is dated 1967. Signed Van Gaard lower right, impressive painting on board and remains in near mint condition. Thick black paint with gold high lights over a blue background, in the original gold finished frame. A classic mid-century find that still looks fantastic.
Painting is 47.25" x 23.25" by sight, frame is 53" x 29".
